Solion engineers have undertaken an intense research and development programme resulting in a technology for producing curved mono-crystalline solar modules. Solion's curved solar modules have many features and advantages
* Aesthetics of solar products can be improved leading to a wider range of products for street furniture
* High efficiency solar cells can be used - at the moment most flexible modules use low efficiency amorphous technology
* If required vandal resistant covers can be incorporated in the design
* Multiple strings with alternating directions minimise the effect of shading
* Curvature allows rainwater and debris to wash off keeping the module cleaner and therefore more efficient
* Modules are designed to last at least 20 years
Solion will design bespoke modules for most applications and produce prototypes for testing and evaluation. Solion can develop the module for full production taking into account all the customers needs. All modules are made by Solion in the UK.
